violet lake is the solo project of Brussels-based artist Lien Monteny.
violet lake's music is inspired by the contemporary dark- and minimal wave music (think of Hante., hørd, Minuit Machine etc.) but also by the iconic 80's goth music and contemporary Russian electronic music.
The lyrics touch upon subjects such as queer culture, social criticism, alienation and longing for connection.
